PRPP Intervention Course – Sydney

18-22 February, 2019– PRPP Intervention Course

Occupational Performance Network
Sydney (Lidcombe), New South Wales

Registration

The Perceive, Recall, Plan & Perform (PRPP) Intervention is part of the PRPP System of Task Analysis – an interactive assessment and intervention system that is based on task analysis methodology.  The PRPP Intervention aims to improve occupational performance mastery by addressing the specific cognitive strategy application behaviours identified through the PRPP Assessment as most impacting mastery.  Instructional methods used to address these behaviours incorporate cues and prompts that align with specific perceive, recall, plan and perform processing operations and preferences. The efficacy of this approach has been observed in children and adults with a variety of diagnoses and conditions that impact everyday cognition, and demonstrated through research with adults with traumatic brain impairment and children with social and behavioural difficulties.

OBJECTIVES:  At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Compare and contrast PRPP Intervention with other forms of occupational therapy task-embedded methods of intervention.
  2. Select critical strategy application behaviours to address in therapy.
  3. Set measurable occupational performance goals for performance mastery and strategy application.
  4. Design a detailed plan to build strategy application behaviours required to improve or maintain performance mastery.
